The server decides
Every duel runs on the server, and the result is re-verified (the game replays the duel) before rewards are paid. Nobody can cheat the result.
Fair play
- Real duels: only they pay XP, quests and PvP gold; the per-opponent limit prevents fixing results (Real duel).
- Trades: only between friends, with a fee and a daily limit (Showcase, dust and trades).
- Buying and selling for money: selling or buying cards and accounts for money (so-called "RMT") is prohibited by the terms and leads to a ban.
- Guest accounts: there is an anti-fraud limit of 20 guest accounts per network per hour.
How the game protects the economy
Cards are only worth something if they are hard to get. That is why the game looks after the economy the same way for everyone:
- Strong cards are scarce on purpose. Rares, epics and legendaries come from packs with published odds (the Traveler's Pack costs 1,500 gold), from campaign milestones (the card of each first victory has a rarity ceiling set by the opponent's role, and no duel gives a legendary) and from the forge, which costs dust. Nobody fills a collection with strong cards all at once.
- The starting gift is small. A new account gets 3 welcome packs with only commons and uncommons, and the day's Free Pack brings 1 card. Accounts created in bulk on the same network or the same device do not get the welcome packs again.
- Trading takes real play. Trades and Honor Duels only open after 14 days of account age, days of real dueling (including PvP against other people) and a minimum Rank; epic-or-better cards ask for even more (30 days). Each account makes at most 3 moves a day and receives at most 1 epic-or-better card every 30 days.
- Nothing is taken from anyone who already has it. When a rule changes, it applies from then on: the cards you already own stay yours.
- The server decides. Trying to dodge a rule gains nothing: the game checks everything on the server.
Purchases
Buying gems, the pass, cosmetics, characters or the Supporter Seal requires an account with an email and the declaration of being 18 or older. Cards from paid packs have a trade lock (Packs) and the Hall of Myths is a cosmetic purchase (Hall of Myths).
Privacy
The game's usage measurement uses its own tools only (no Google, no Meta): nothing goes to third parties. Outside the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the measurement comes on; inside those regions (or when the country is unknown) it comes off. You can change it in Settings → Privacy, on the “Usage measurement” switch. With measurement on, “Ad you came from” also appears: measuring which ad brought you and telling Meta (Facebook/Instagram) when you start playing, so we can measure our ads. It follows the same rule as measurement (on outside those regions, off inside them or when the country is unknown), can be turned off on its own in the same place and the notice to Meta is never sent for anyone who told us they are under 18 (our ads are shown only to adults 18+). There is no privacy notice when the game opens.
Safety between players
- Chat only between friends: written chat exists only between accepted friends, both with registered accounts. Someone who is not your friend cannot write to you; in the duel, there are only the quick phrases, a closed list (Chat between friends).
- No links or contacts: links, e-mails, phone numbers and @handles are refused in chat for everyone, and offensive words become ***.
- Under 16: anyone who declared being under 16 has no written chat; quick phrases still work.
- Taunts: the taunts of the duel are phrases from a closed list, at most 10 per duel for each player, they close when the duel ends, and you can turn receiving them off in Settings → Multiplayer (for anyone who declared being under 16, they already start off). Muting or blocking the opponent silences all of that (Quick phrases and emotes).
- Block and report: the Safety shield, in the duel and on the Friends screen, blocks or reports a player, even if you are a guest. The game attaches the latest messages and the duel data by itself (Blocking and Reporting).
- How long chat is kept: messages older than 30 days are deleted; those attached to a report are kept with it for longer.
Simple precautions
- Do not share the sign-in code with anyone, not even someone who says they are from the game.
- Save your guest account with an email (Account, settings and accessibility).
- Be wary of anyone offering cards or accounts for money outside the game.
- Someone bothered you? Block and report them with the Safety shield; the player is not told.
