Part 6 · Economy and shop · Chapter 24

Showcase, dust and trades

Three ways to choose exactly the card you want.

Today's showcase

Every UTC day (it refreshes at midnight UTC) the showcase shows 6 different cards, just for you. The price of each one is fixed. The showcase is allowed in every country, even where gem packs are turned off.

Dust: disenchant and craft

You can disenchant a copy of a card and receive dust, or craft a card by spending dust. You cannot craft "fusion-only" cards, ritual cards or 1/1 cards.

Trades

A trade is card for card and only between friends (Social multiplayer). Since having friends needs a registered account, a guest cannot trade: with no friends, the Trades screen shows “Add a friend to propose trades.” Each side pays a gold fee that depends on the highest rarity of the two cards. The gold goes to the game, not to the other player. Each player can make up to 3 moves per UTC day, counting completed trades and Honor Duels together.

Common50 gold
Uncommon150 gold
Rare400 gold
Epic1,000 gold
Legendary2,000 gold

Example: when trading a rare for an epic, the highest rarity is the epic, and each side pays 1,000 gold.

Who can trade

To stop throwaway accounts that pile up cards and pass them to a main account, both sides of a trade (the proposer and the one who accepts) need: Rank 9 (Torchbearer IV, 3,550 career XP), 14 days of account age, 10 different days with a real duel and, among them, 5 days on which you played real PvP against other people. A duel against the computer, a friend challenge and a duel between accounts of the same person do not count as PvP. Anyone who is not there yet sees, at the top of the Trades screen, “Trading unlocks at rank …” with progress bars (XP to go, account age, days with a duel, PvP days); the Propose and Accept buttons are disabled. This is the career Rank, which never goes down: the ranked season and Elo neither lock nor unlock anything.

The Honor Duel (PvP) uses this same lock on both sides, the same newly-unlocked-account window, the same gold fee and the same receiving caps; the day's completed trades and Honor Duels count together toward the daily limit.

For the first 14 days after unlocking, the account is newly unlocked: it makes up to 2 trades a day (instead of 3) and cannot receive a card above rare (epic and legendary only later). If the other side is still locked, the error reveals none of their numbers: it only says trading is locked.

Epic or better cards (epic and legendary) ask for more, on both sides: Rank 12 (Threshold Warden II, 7,450 career XP), 30 days of account age, 20 days with a duel and 10 of them PvP against other people. It is the same rule in trades and in the Honor Duel: the Trades screen explains what is missing.

Even with trading unlocked, each account has receiving caps: at most 3 rare cards every 7 days and 1 epic-or-better card every 30 days, whoever they come from (trades and Honor Duel wins count together, and an Honor Duel in progress already reserves the card you could win). Two accounts make at most 2 moves a week between them, counting trades and Honor Duels. If a limit stops a trade, the game tells you what happened on your side.

Each player can have at most 20 open trade proposals at the same time: cancel one or wait for an answer to make another. The trades screen shows up to 100 trades, open ones first. A trade with a banned, suspended or deleted account does not complete.

Locked cards

Cards from a paid pack (and those from the premium pass track) are locked for trading for 7 days. In the Netherlands, cards from paid packs can never be traded. The Collection shows until when each card is locked.
