What MYTHENOR is
MYTHENOR is a card game for two people. Each brings a deck of 40 cards, starts with 8,000 Life points and tries to bring the other's Life to zero. The cards are creatures, spells, traps and relics drawn from myths all over the world.
The game has a trick of its own: fusion. Instead of waiting for a strong card to show up, you join two or three cards from your hand, in the order you choose, and a new monster is born, stronger than its materials. A big part of the fun is discovering which cards fuse into what.
You play against computer duelists in the Campaign, against other people in Ranked and Casual, and there are also practice and challenge modes: the Daily Challenge, Legend Mode, the Crossing of Myths and Tournaments.
The six mythologies
The 720 cards are split into six mythologies, with 120 cards each. Every mythology has a region in the Campaign and a Guardian at the end of it.
| Region | Mythology | Guardian |
|---|---|---|
| Yggdrasil Fjord | Norse | Freydís, Warden of Yggdrasil |
| Aegean of Heroes | Greek | Aristeia, Champion of Olympus |
| Archipelago of the Kami | Japanese | Kaguya, Guardian of the Torii |
| Valley of the Fifth Sun | Aztec | Itzel, Guardian of the Fifth Sun |
| The Obsidian Necropolis | Egyptian | Merytamun, the Last Sentinel |
| Heart of the Forest | Tupi | Jaci-Miri, Sentinel of the Forest |
Monsters from every mythology can share a deck, and that is where fusions get interesting: the materials of one mythology can create a monster of another, as in the example of the chapter Your first duel.
The goal of the game
- In the duel: bring the opponent's Life to zero. You also win if the opponent's deck runs out, if they surrender, or if their time runs out.
- In the journey: beat the six Campaign regions and the final villain, Kaelmyr, Devourer of Pantheons; complete the collection of 720 cards and the Fusion Book of 90 recipes.
- In the career: climb the 60 Ranks and, if you want to compete, the Ranked leagues.
Languages
The game and this guide exist in Brazilian Portuguese, Latin-American Spanish and English. Switch the language in Settings or with the selector at the top of this page; the chapter and anchor you are on are kept.
How to read this guide
The guide has three paths, and you can switch between them whenever you like:
- I've never played: read the chapter Your first duel. In two minutes you are playing.
- I know the basics: the full rules are in the chapters The table and the turn to End of the duel, grade and clock.
- I want the reference: tables, the Glossary and Frequently asked questions at the end.
The colored boxes help you find what matters: In short at the top of each chapter, Heads up for the rules that catch beginners, Numbers for exact values and Pro tip at the end. Every card mentioned links to the Codex of Myths, the game's encyclopedia.
