The myth

Genipap is the fruit of a native tree whose juice, reacting with skin, leaves a blue-black dye that lasts for days. Together with the red of annatto, it is used by many Indigenous peoples of Brazil for body painting. Sixteenth-century chroniclers already described painted Tupinambá. The designs are not random decoration: they express identity, age, kinship, festivals, mourning, protection and also preparation for war, and each people has its own patterns. The card, a MYTHENOR creation, honors this living tradition, in which painting the body is also telling who you are.

Why it has this power

A level 5 uncommon with ATK 1650 and DEF 1400: a complete warrior for the mid-game. It is earth-element, like the dye that comes from a tree. Feather and Hammer mark it as a fighter. Fused with the War-Canoe Paddler, it forms the War Canoe of a Hundred Oars.

Did you know

Genipap juice goes on almost clear and only darkens on the skin after a few hours.
