The myth
Riding Pegasus, Bellerophon met the Chimera in the air, out of reach of her fire, and shot her down from above, according to Apollodorus. Together they also defeated the Solymi and the Amazons. Pindar tells the other side of the story: swollen with pride, Bellerophon tried to ride Pegasus up to the dwelling of Zeus, and the horse threw him. The hero ended his days wandering alone, avoiding the paths of men, while Pegasus was welcomed into the stables of Olympus.
Why it has this power
An Epic level-8 card with 2750 ATK and 2400 DEF, obtained by fusing Bellerophon with Pegasus. The leap over the hero alone, from 1700 to 2750 attack, shows that the legend belongs to the pair. A Wind Beast-Warrior, rider and winged horse united, it bears the Feather and Fox constellations.
