The myth
Dodona in Epirus was considered the oldest oracle in Greece. There Zeus spoke through a sacred oak: priests and priestesses interpreted the rustling of its leaves and the flight of doves. Homer mentions the Selloi, priests with unwashed feet who slept on the ground. According to Apollodorus, Athena set in the prow of the Argo a timber from this oak that could speak. Dryads were the nymphs of trees, and the name comes from drys, oak. No specific dryad of Dodona appears in ancient texts; the card is a MYTHENOR creation.
Why it has this power
A Common level-3 card with 900 ATK and 1200 DEF: a voice, not a warrior, so her rooted defense exceeds her attack. An Earth Spirit bound to the oak, she bears the Wisp and Fox constellations, the oracle's mysterious light and the cunning of its answers. Song of the Muses strengthens Spirits like her.
