The myth

The eagle warriors, cuauhtli, formed one of the two great Mexica military orders. The eagle was the sun’s bird: the sun was believed to rise into the sky like an eagle, and Tonatiuh was called “ascending eagle.” So eagle warriors devoted themselves to the daytime sun and wore feathered suits with beak-shaped helmets. They had their own precinct, the House of the Eagles, beside the Templo Mayor, where they gathered for ceremonies. One of their life-size clay statues stands in the Templo Mayor Museum.

Why it has this power

A Level 7 Rare with 2300 ATK and 2000 DEF: the apprentice is now a knight. Wind and Feather are the eagle’s flight; Hammer, the warrior. He is born by fusing the Apprentice Eagle Warrior with the Eagle of the Nopal Cactus, and together with the Jaguar Knight of the Night he forms the epic Eagle-Jaguar Order.

Did you know

The House of the Eagles at the Templo Mayor had benches decorated with painted reliefs of warriors in procession.
