The Eagle-Jaguar Order

The myth

Eagle and jaguar were the two great elite orders of the Mexica army and, together, embodied the warrior ideal. In Nahuatl, the phrase in cuauhtli in ocelotl, “the eagle, the jaguar,” was a difrasismo, a poetic way of saying “the brave warriors.” The eagle was tied to the sun and the day; the jaguar to night, earth and Tezcatlipoca. So the pair symbolized the whole cosmos at war, day and night united. Sculptures and codices show the two warriors side by side.

Why it has this power

A Level 8 Epic with 2850 ATK and 2500 DEF: two knights added into a single force. The game gives it Fire and Sun, the sacred war that feeds the sun, and Hammer, the warrior. It is born from the ancient rhyme Eagle Knight of the Sun plus Jaguar Knight of the Night — day and night marching together.
