The myth

The cuachicqueh, “the shorn ones” or “shaved ones,” were the most prestigious and feared warrior unit of the Mexica army, alongside the Otomís. They shaved their heads leaving only a crest or braid over the ear, and painted half the face blue and the other half red or yellow. They swore never to retreat and were sent into the most dangerous situations as shock troops. Reaching that rank took many captures and deeds of valor. Rather than command troops, they preferred to stay on the front line.

Why it has this power

A Level 6 Uncommon with 2000 ATK and 1600 DEF: the strongest Uncommon warrior, a veteran sworn never to retreat. Fire and Sun give him front-line fury; Hammer marks the warrior. He is the best target for equipment like the Obsidian Macuahuitl, worth +500, and Huitzilopochtli's Serpent Spear, worth +1000.

Warriors who distinguished themselves earned rare privileges, such as eating in the royal palace and drinking pulque in public.
