The myth
Geri and Freki are Odin's two wolves; both names mean something like the ravenous or the greedy one. In Grímnismál Odin says he feeds the wolves, for he himself lives on wine alone. Snorri explains: at the feasts of Valhöll the meat set before Odin goes to Geri and Freki, while wine is both food and drink to him. The wolves, together with the ravens, form the war god's animal company, creatures that follow the battlefields. Poets used the name Geri as a poetic word for wolf.
Why it has this power
A level 3 Common with ATK 1150 and DEF 900: a nimble hunter. Earth element, under Feather and Bull: the Feather ties Geri to the flight of the ravens at Odin's side, the Bull to the strength of beasts. Fused with Freki it forms the Wolves of the High Seat. The Howl of Járnviðr and the Wolf-Fang Torc strengthen it.

According to Snorri, Odin eats nothing at the feasts of Valhöll: he gives all the meat to the wolves and drinks only wine.
