The myth

The Argo was the ship of the Argonauts, built by Argus with Athena's guidance and fitted with fifty oars. Apollodorus says the goddess set in its prow a timber from the sacred oak of Dodona that could speak. In the Argonautica of Apollonius of Rhodes, this beam speaks with a human voice after the murder of Apsyrtus, warning that Zeus's anger would pass only if Circe purified them. The Argo was the first ship to pass the Clashing Blue Rocks, losing only the tip of its stern. At the voyage's end, Jason dedicated it to Poseidon at the Isthmus of Corinth.

Why it has this power

An Uncommon level-6 card with 1800 ATK and 2000 DEF: a ship protects its crew, so its defense is higher. A Water Machine built by human and divine hands, it bears the Moon and Hammer constellations of night sailing and the shipyard. Fused with Jason, it forms The Argonauts Aboard the Argo.

Did you know

To pass the Clashing Rocks, the Argonauts first released a dove: it got through, losing only a few tail feathers.
