The myth
In Egypt almost every journey was made on the Nile, and the first boats were made from bundles of reed and papyrus. That image passed into the sky: Egyptians imagined that the gods sailed too, and that Ra crossed the sky by day and the underworld by night in a barque. The Pyramid Texts, Egypt's oldest religious writings, carved inside Old Kingdom pyramids, speak of the king's crossings to the sky. The Enchanted Reed Barque, waiting for a divine passenger, is a MYTHENOR creation.
Why it has this power
A common level 3 Machine of Water with 900 ATK and 1100 DEF. Moon beats Wisp and Hammer beats Bull. Its destiny is the ancient rhyme: joined with the Radiant Face of Dawn, it becomes The Solar Barque of Millions of Years, an epic of level 8.

Budge notes that one of the late chapters of the Book of the Dead is an extract copied from the texts of King Unas's pyramid.
