The myth
The Bronze Colossus is a MYTHENOR creation. Egypt, however, was a land of giant statues: kings and gods guarded temple entrances in colossal stone, and avenues of sphinxes led to the sanctuaries. For the Egyptians, temples were not just places of worship but the literal homes of the deities, and only priests entered the innermost parts. The Great Sphinx of Giza, carved from the bedrock, is the most famous of these stone guardians. A colossus with a furnace in its chest is the game's fantastic version.
Why it has this power
An uncommon level 5 Machine of Fire, the furnace in its chest, with 1800 ATK and 1900 DEF: a single duty, no one enters. Sun beats Moon and Scarab beats Leviathan. The Embalmer's Bandages, +700 for Machines, take it to 2500 ATK and 2600 DEF.
Did you know
According to an ancient legend, the Great Sphinx itself spoke to Prince Thutmose IV in a dream, asking him to free it from the sand.
