Mummified General of the Last Dynasty

The myth

The Mummified General of the Last Dynasty is a MYTHENOR creation: there is no real general by that name. The idea that he keeps commanding after death, however, speaks to Egyptian belief. The Field of Reeds, the paradise of the just, was imagined as a mirror of life on earth, without disease, disappointment or death, where each person found again what had seemed lost. Tombs were furnished with objects of daily life and of the dead person's craft, so they could go on being who they had been.

Why it has this power

A rare level 6 Undead of Earth with 2100 ATK and 2100 DEF, a veteran's balance. Obtained only by fusion: Sand-Woken Mummy plus any Warrior, the soldier who refuses to rest. Wisp beats Feather and Scarab, the beetle of rebirth, beats Leviathan.

Did you know

In Egyptian belief, the Field of Reeds was so like the earth that the dead might even plough fields there, which is why shabtis were brought along to do that work.
