The myth
The Pack of Jackals is a MYTHENOR creation, but its line, one jackal guides and the pack judges, joins two real ideas. Jackals inspired the gods who guided the dead: Wepwawet, the Opener of the Ways, and Anubis, who led the soul to the balance. And judgment was not made by a single god: in the Hall of Truth, before Osiris, Thoth and Ma'at, forty-two divine judges heard the dead declare they had not committed each of forty-two sins, the so-called Negative Confession.
Why it has this power
A rare level 6 Beast of Darkness with 2250 ATK and 1900 DEF, obtained only by fusion: Wandering Dune Jackal plus Jackal Sentinel of the Dunes, guide and guard becoming a pack. Moon beats Wisp and Bull beats Crown. The Collar of Jackal Fangs gives it +500.
Did you know
In the Negative Confession, the dead addressed each of the forty-two judges by name, denying a different sin to each.
