The myth

This lancer is a MYTHENOR figure, but its gear has a historical basis. For much of Egyptian history, foot soldiers fought with spears, shields, maces and simple bows. It was with the Hyksos, in the Second Intermediate Period, that the horse-drawn war chariot, the composite bow of wood, sinew and horn, and new swords arrived. In the New Kingdom the army became professional. In a land where almost everything depends on the Nile, desert wells and oases were precious points to defend.

Why it has this power

A common level 3 Warrior of Water with 1100 ATK and 1200 DEF: a defender of water, steady rather than aggressive. Moon beats Wisp and Scarab beats Leviathan. With the Crocodile of the Murky Waters it fuses into Sebeku, Crocodile Lord of the Oasis.

Did you know

The composite bow brought by the Hyksos, wood reinforced with sinew and horn, had a longer range than the simple Egyptian bow.
