The myth

Tepeyóllotl, “Heart of the Mountain,” is the Mexica jaguar god, considered one of Tezcatlipoca’s faces. He lived inside mountains and caves, and his roar was the echo resounding through the valleys; he was also tied to earthquakes. In the codices he appears as a jaguar, sometimes with the smoking mirror in place of a foot, or surrounded by starry eyes inside a cave. He was the eighth of the nine Lords of the Night and patron of the third thirteen-day period of the ritual calendar. For the Nahua, the jaguar ruled night and the earth’s interior.

Why it has this power

A Level 8 Epic with 2750 ATK and 2500 DEF: the strongest Beast, a god in the shape of a beast. Darkness and Moon are Tezcatlipoca’s night; Bull, the raw strength of the mountain. Fused with the Sorcerer of the Smoking Mirror, he reveals his true face and forms Tezcatlipoca, the Legendary Lord of the Smoking Mirror.

In the Codex Borbonicus, Tepeyóllotl appears with a severed leg and the smoking mirror, the same marks as Tezcatlipoca.
