The myth

In many Indigenous traditions and in Brazilian folklore, hunting has rules. You do not kill young animals or pregnant females, you do not hunt more than you need, you ask leave of the masters of the animals and sometimes leave an offering. Whoever breaks these rules faces the forest's protectors: Anhangá, the white deer with eyes of fire who drives greedy hunters mad, and the Caipora, who hides the game and makes hunters lose their way. The Rite of the Forbidden Hunt is a MYTHENOR creation inspired by that ethic: three offerings ask forgiveness for the hunt, and a spirit decides whether to accept.

Why it has this power

A rare ritual: it offers the Archer of the Wide-River Village, the Fierce Peccary and the Guardian Tapir of the Creek to summon Anhangá, Protector of the Hunted, an epic with ATK 2800. The hunter and the two prey rest within the spirit that protects animals.

Did you know

Hunting rules like these also work as wildlife management: they help sustain the forest's animal populations.
