The myth
Vines are an essential part of the forest and of many peoples' lives: they are used to tie houses together and to make baskets, nets, traps and bridges. Some have special properties. Timbó is the name for several plants, many of them climbers, that Indigenous peoples traditionally use in fishing: crushed roots release a substance into the water that stuns fish, which float up and can be caught by hand. This knowledge is used with care and in chosen places. The MYTHENOR spell imagines vines that whisper and drain the strength of anyone who threatens the forest.
Why it has this power
An uncommon weakening spell: all of the opponent's monsters lose 400 ATK until the end of their next turn. Like timbó that stuns the fish, it slows the enemy down. Great before a decisive attack or to shield yourself from a strong assault.
Did you know
The compound in some timbó species, rotenone, was studied by science and used as an insecticide.
