Walking Clay Oven
Inspired by: The casas de farinha, where cassava becomes flour and beiju, an Indigenous legacy in Brazilian cooking.

It toasts the village flour and still chases whoever steals the flatbread.

The myth
Cassava was domesticated in South America thousands of years ago and was the staple food of the Tupi peoples, who also grew maize, sweet potatoes, beans and peanuts. Turning bitter cassava into food requires sophisticated Indigenous knowledge: grating it, squeezing out the poisonous juice in the tipiti press, drying and toasting the mash on large ovens until it becomes flour. The same process yields beiju, a thin, crisp disc. The technique lives on in the casas de farinha all over Brazil, especially in the North and Northeast. The walking clay oven is a MYTHENOR creation.
Why it has this power
A level 3 common with ATK 900 and DEF 1000: a modest card, like a kitchen tool that decided to fight. It is a fire-element Machine, for the ever-lit oven. Sun and Hammer are heat and work. Beware the region's field card, which weakens fire cards.
Did you know
The tipiti, a woven tube used to squeeze cassava, is an Indigenous invention still in use today.
