The myth

The Seer of the Still Waters is a MYTHENOR creation. She draws on an Amazonian legend recorded since colonial times: the icamiabas, warrior women of the great river, gathered once a year at a sacred lake called Yacy-uaruá, "mirror of the moon", to honor the moon. There they dove and brought up a greenish clay from which they made muiraquitãs, frog-shaped amulets. The idea that very still water shows what is yet to come appears in many cultures around the world. The card joins the two in one of the game's characters.

Why it has this power

A level 5 uncommon with ATK 1700 and DEF 1500: a strong, balanced spellcaster. It is water-element, the still lagoon that shows the future. Moon is the lake's mirror; Fox, the wisdom of one who sees first. It benefits from the Pajé's Maracá, which strengthens Spellcasters.

Did you know

Yacy, in the lake's name, is the same Tupi word for moon that gave rise to Jaci.
