The myth

The Bradador is a haunting told in Paraná, Santa Catarina, parts of inland São Paulo and also Portugal. Bradar means to shout, and that is what he does: on windy nights his cries echo through the hills and woods. According to folklore scholars, the Bradador is the spirit that once animated the Corpo-Seco, the man so wicked that not even the earth would accept him; when the soul leaves the body, it wanders off screaming. The stories say you must never answer the cries, because whoever answers draws the Bradador near, or goes away with him.

Why it has this power

A level 5 uncommon with ATK 1700 and DEF 1300: strong attack and low defense, a scream that frightens more than it protects. It is a wind-element Undead, because its voice travels with the gales. Feather is the sound flying over the hills; Scarab, the mark of the region's undead.

Did you know

For many folklorists, the Bradador and the Corpo-Seco are one story in two moments: the body and the scream.
