The myth
In folklore, the Corpo-Seco is the man so wicked in life that when he died not even the earth would take him: the body does not rot and keeps reappearing, dried out, frightening passersby. Corpo-Seco's Withered Tree is a MYTHENOR creation imagining the next step of that story: spat out by the earth, he puts down roots on the outside and becomes a dry, leafless tree that no one can fell. It is an image of punishment and memory, like the myth itself, which served as a reminder to respect parents and others. The traditional versions recorded by folklorists do not mention a tree.
Why it has this power
A level 7 rare, fusion only: Corpo-Seco of the Backlands plus any Insect or Plant. It rises from ATK 1200 to ATK 2000 and gains DEF 2300, the highest defense among the region's undead: no one can cut it down. It stays earth-element, with Wisp and Scarab.
