The myth
The Messenger of the Dawn does not come from any known Indigenous myth: she is a MYTHENOR creation. She gives form to a real and important moment in the life of the forest, dawn, when birds begin singing in chorus and the creatures of the night withdraw. For Tupi-Guarani peoples, the sun, kûarasy in Tupi and Kuaray in Guarani, is a central figure, and its path across the sky through the year organizes the calendar of rains, drought, planting and harvest. The card imagines a small deity who arrives before the sun to warn the forest.
Why it has this power
A level 3 common with ATK 900 and DEF 1100: more protection than attack, like one who announces rather than fights. It is a light-element Deity, with Sun and Crown. Fused with the Scarlet Macaw of the Cliff, it becomes the Sun-Macaw, Keeper of the Sunset: morning meets evening.
Did you know
The Guarani calendar divides the year into the new time of rains and the old time of drought.
