The myth
The Caboclo-d'Água is the guardian of the São Francisco River in Brazilian folklore. Boatmen say he capsizes canoes, raises dangerous waves and drowns anyone who disrespects him. He is described as short, strong and bronze-skinned, sometimes with a single eye on his forehead; others say he is huge, like a house moving under the moon. But he can be kind: whoever offers him tobacco gets help with fishing. To protect themselves, riverside people placed knives in the bottom of their canoes. The famous carrancas, figureheads on São Francisco boats, are also associated with protection from the river's dangers.
Why it has this power
A level 6 rare with ATK 2200 and DEF 2100: powerful and balanced, like a guardian who both protects and punishes. It is a water-element Beast-Warrior. Moon is the night he overturns boats; Fox, the unpredictable mood of one who may help or drown.
