The myth

The maned wolf is a real animal of Brazil's Cerrado and South America's largest canid, with long legs, reddish fur and a dark mane on its neck. Despite its name, it is not a true wolf. It is shy, roams alone at dusk and at night, and eats both small animals and fruit, especially the lobeira, the "wolf's fruit", whose seeds it spreads across the savanna. The word guará comes from Tupi. In rural Brazil it is surrounded by folk beliefs, and today it is a symbol of Cerrado conservation. The card is a MYTHENOR creation inspired by it.

Why it has this power

A level 4 common with ATK 1300 and DEF 900: fast and fragile, made to bite and vanish. It is a fire-element Beast, for its ember-colored coat. Sun and Bull are the Cerrado's open land and the strength of its long legs. A good pressure card early in the game.
