Fierce Peccary of the Deep Forest

The myth

The white-lipped peccary is a real wild pig that lives in huge herds, sometimes of hundreds of animals, and travels great distances through the forest. When a herd passes, the clatter of teeth and a strong smell announce its arrival, and hunters learn to respect it: alone it is fierce, in a herd it is an earthquake. The peccary has a place in folklore: the Caipora, protector of animals, is often described riding a peccary, leading the herd and punishing those who hunt too much. The card is a MYTHENOR creation inspired by this animal and that companionship.

Why it has this power

A level 3 common with ATK 1200 and DEF 900: high attack for its level, like the herd's charge. It is an earth-element Beast, with Feather and Bull. It is one of the three offerings of the Rite of the Forbidden Hunt, which summons Anhangá, protector of hunted animals.

Did you know

The peccary's Brazilian name refers to the white patch on its jaw, and it clacks its teeth to warn of danger.
