The myth
This wyrm is a MYTHENOR invention with no legend of its own. Its setting is real: the Serra do Mar, the wall of mountains covered in Atlantic Forest that runs along the coast of southeastern and southern Brazil. There, in summer, moisture from the ocean climbs the slopes and builds sudden, violent storms. This coast was home to the Tupi peoples Europeans met in the sixteenth century, such as the Tupinambá and Tupiniquim. Among Tupi-Guarani-speaking peoples thunder has a name and a master, Tupã, and the card imagines one of his lightning bolts with a serpent's body.
Why it has this power
A level 3 common with ATK 1000 and DEF 900: fast and fragile, like a bolt that vanishes. It is a thunder-element Dragon. Wisp is the flash that lights the range; Crown, its bond with Tupã, lord of thunder. It pressures early and clears the way for bigger thunder cards.

The Atlantic Forest of the Serra do Mar is among the best-preserved stretches of a biome that once covered much of Brazil's coast.
