The myth

This caiman-dragon comes from no legend: it is a MYTHENOR creation. It is born from a real animal, the yacare caiman, which lives by the millions in the world's largest tropical wetland, spread across Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Bolivia and Paraguay. The Portuguese word jacaré comes from Tupi. For decades these caimans were hunted for their skins, and their numbers only recovered after commercial hunting was banned. Today, basking on the banks, they are one of the Pantanal's strongest images, and the game gave them wings.

Why it has this power

A level 4 common with ATK 1300 and DEF 1100: a solid attack for an early card. It is an earth Dragon, because the caiman spends hours on dry banks. Sun is the heat it basks in; Crown, its rule over the lagoon. It looks like a caiman, until it opens its wings.
