The myth
In the Völuspá, the seeress sees a hall far from the sun on Náströnd, the shore of corpses, its doors facing north. Drops of venom fall through the roof, and the walls are woven of serpents' spines. There oath-breakers, murderers and seducers wade through heavy streams, and the dragon Níðhöggr sucks the bodies of the dead. Snorri repeats the image in Gylfaginning. The sources name no lord of that hall. The Draugr Jarl of Náströnd is a MYTHENOR creation: a dead man who still collects tribute on that grim shore.
Why it has this power
A level 8 Epic with ATK 2700 and DEF 2400, the strongest Undead that can be summoned directly. Darkness element, under Moon and Scarab. It is also born from fusing the Frozen-Crypt Draugr with Móðguðr: the dead man who crosses the bridge and becomes lord of the shore.
Did you know
Náströnd literally means corpse-shore, from nár, corpse, and strǫnd, shore.
