The myth
Sleipnir is Odin's grey eight-legged horse, the best of all horses, according to Snorri. He was born of Loki, who in the shape of a mare lured the stallion Svaðilfari. Sleipnir carries Odin through every world, and he is the mount Hermóðr rides on the nine-night journey to Hel to plead for Baldr's return; at the end he leaps the gate of the realm of the dead without touching it. The Sigrdrífumál speaks of runes carved on Sleipnir's teeth. Some see in the eight legs the image of four men bearing a coffin.
Why it has this power
A level 8 Epic, reached only by fusing Svaðilfari with Loki. ATK 2750 and DEF 2350 make it the strongest Beast outside the Legendaries. Wind element, for its speed between worlds, under Feather and Bull, the same constellations as its sire. It is the ancient rhyme the myth itself tells.
