The myth
Svaðilfari is the stallion of the mysterious builder who offered the gods a wall around Asgard. The price would be Freyja, the sun and the moon if the work was finished in a single winter. The gods agreed, expecting him to fail, but the horse hauled enormous stones and the work went quickly. Three days before summer, Loki, pressed by the gods, turned into a mare and lured the stallion into the woods. The work stopped, the builder was revealed as a giant and Thor killed him. Months later, Loki gave birth to Sleipnir.
Why it has this power
A level 4 Common with ATK 1550 and DEF 1400: strong and sturdy, like one who hauls mountains. Earth element, from the stones of the wall, under Feather and Bull. It is an ancient rhyme: Svaðilfari fused with Loki gives birth to Sleipnir, the eight-legged Epic steed.
Did you know
Snorri says the builder worked at night with his horse, and the gods were astonished at the size of the stones Svaðilfari hauled.
