The myth
The Cretan Bull was the white bull Poseidon sent up from the sea for King Minos to sacrifice. Minos found it too beautiful and sacrificed another; as punishment the bull went mad and ravaged the island, and from it and Queen Pasiphae the Minotaur was born. Capturing it was the seventh labor of Heracles, who brought it to Eurystheus. Released, the bull roamed the Peloponnese, crossed the isthmus and reached Marathon in Attica, where it terrorized the people until Theseus killed it. Acusilaus said it was the same bull that carried off Europa (Apollodorus 2.5.7).
Why it has this power
An Uncommon level-5 card with 1800 ATK and 1600 DEF: a divine bull, stronger than ordinary beasts of its level. An Earth Beast, it bears the Feather and Bull constellations, the light sea foam it rose from and the sign of the bull itself. It pairs well with the Nemean Lionskin.
