The myth
Zeus, son of the Titans Cronus and Rhea, escaped being swallowed by his father because Rhea handed Cronus a stone wrapped in swaddling clothes instead of the baby, who was raised in secret on Crete. Grown, he freed his siblings and the Cyclopes, who gave him thunder and lightning, and he led the gods in the war against the Titans (Hesiod, Theogony). He then divided the world with Poseidon and Hades, taking the sky. Lord of Olympus and guardian of justice, oaths and hospitality, his symbols were the thunderbolt, the eagle, the oak and the scepter.
Why it has this power
With 3600 ATK and 2900 DEF, level 10 and Legendary rarity, Zeus is the strongest monster of the Greek myth in the game, as befits the king of the gods. He is a Thunder Deity for his thunderbolt, and his Crown and Wisp constellations join the throne of Olympus to the flash of the sky. He also arises from the ancient rhyme Arges plus Eagle of Zeus: the forger of the bolt and the bird that carries it.

The name Zeus shares an Indo-European root with Latin Iuppiter and Sanskrit Dyaus: all of them mean something like bright sky father.
