The myth
The weighing of the heart was the soul's final judgment. In the Hall of Truth, before Osiris, the heart of the dead, seat of will, emotion and reason, was placed on one pan of the Great Balance, and the feather of Ma'at, truth, on the other. Anubis tended the pointer, Thoth recorded the result, and the dead recited the Negative Confession before forty-two judges. If the heart was light, the person went on to the Field of Reeds; if heavy, the Devourer Ammut swallowed it.
Why it has this power
An uncommon ritual: it offers the Jackal Guard of the Sealed Gate, the Scribe of the Forbidden Words and the Sand-Woken Mummy to summon Ammut, Devourer of Hearts, an epic level 8 with 2900 ATK. The materials recreate the scene: the guardian, the recording scribe and the judged dead.
