The myth

The weighing of the heart is the most famous scene in the Book of the Dead. In the Papyrus of Ani, as Budge describes it, Osiris presides on his throne, twelve gods serve as a jury, and beside them stands the Great Balance. Anubis tends the pointer; Thoth, scribe of the gods, records the result; and the monster Amemit waits to devour heavy hearts. In one pan lies the heart of the dead, seat of will and reason; in the other, the feather of truth. The Jackal Judge is the MYTHENOR echo of that role of Anubis.

Why it has this power

An epic level 8 Beast-Warrior of Darkness with 2700 ATK and 2600 DEF, nearly in balance, like a scale. Moon beats Wisp and Bull beats Crown. With the Guardian of the Duat's Gates it forms the ancient rhyme that awakens Wenmara, the legendary jackal-guardian.

Did you know

During the weighing, the dead recited chapter 30B, begging their own heart not to testify against them.
