The myth
The Serpent of the Sealed Chaos is the oldest face of Apophis in MYTHENOR. In one Egyptian version, Apophis always existed, swimming in the dark, undifferentiated waters of chaos before creation; in another, he was born from the spittle of the goddess Neith. Since he could never be destroyed, he had to be contained every day. In temples, priests recited the Book of Overthrowing Apophis, full of curses against the monster, believing it helped Ra in his battle. The cracking seal and the names fading from the walls are the MYTHENOR storyline.
Why it has this power
An epic level 8 Serpent of Darkness with 2750 ATK and 2500 DEF, the strongest serpent below the legendary one. Moon beats Wisp and Scarab beats Leviathan: the beetle of rebirth imprisoning chaos. With the Serpent of the Black Horizon it completes the ancient rhyme that unleashes Nehkarath.
Did you know
In a myth of the goddess Neith, a creator linked to weaving, her spittle gave birth to the serpent Apophis.
