The myth
After four days of penance at Teotihuacan, the gods told Tecciztécatl to leap into the fire. He drew back four times. Then they called Nanahuatzin, who shut his eyes and threw himself in without hesitating; his body crackled and burned. At dawn he rose in the east as the sun, so bright no one could look at him. Thus was born the Fifth Sun, called Nahui Ollin, “4 Movement,” the age the Mexica believed they lived in. According to the myth, this sun would one day end in earthquakes. The eagle and the jaguar, who entered the embers afterward, gained their dark feathers and spots there.
Why it has this power
A Level 6 Rare with 1900 ATK and 2100 DEF: the humble god with 600 ATK now shines, yet remains more shield than sword. Fire is the bonfire he leapt into; Sun and Crown, the king of stars he became. He is born by fusing Nanahuatzin the Humble with any Fire monster — the leap into the flame.
