The myth

Tzinacan is “bat” in Nahuatl and appears in place names like Tzinacantlan, “where bats abound.” Living in caves and emerging at night, the bat was tied to darkness, death and the underworld, though among the Zapotec also to fertility and maize. Several cultures had a bat god; the most famous is Camazotz of the K'iche' Maya Popol Vuh, who beheads one of the Hero Twins in the House of Bats. The Tsotsil people of Zinacantán, Chiapas, still keep the bat as their emblem. The bat warrior is the game’s creation.

Why it has this power

A Level 5 Uncommon with 1750 ATK and 1300 DEF: an ambusher’s attack, little protection outside the cave. Darkness and Moon are the night he hunts in; Bull, the beast within. A good night attacker who gains +500 from the Ceremonial Jaguar Pelt and the Obsidian Macuahuitl.
