The myth
The maracá is a rattle made from a gourd filled with seeds or pebbles, fixed to a handle. For many Indigenous peoples it is a sacred object. In the sixteenth century Hans Staden described how the Tupinambá revered their maracás: each person had their own, consecrated by a pajé, and the instrument served to speak with the spirits. Among the Guarani Mbya, the mbaraka accompanies songs and dances in the prayer house. In the pajelança of the Amazon and Maranhão, the maracá helps call the encantados. The Pajé's Maracá is MYTHENOR equipment honoring this living instrument without reproducing rites.
Why it has this power
Uncommon equipment: it gives 700 ATK and 700 DEF to a Spellcaster or a Spirit. It is the sound of seeds calling the spirits near. It pairs with the Pajé in Trance with the Enchanted, the Seer of the Still Waters, the Matinta Perera, the Saci and Anhangá.
