The myth
In Guarani Mbya traditions, Tupã is one of the divinities created by Nhanderu, the first father, and from the west he rules the waters, rain, lightning and thunder. In the sixteenth century the Jesuits used the name Tupã to translate the Christian God, and the idea of a thunder that judges and punishes grew in the colonial imagination. For the Guarani, however, the relationship with Tupã is made of prayers, songs and respect, not fear. Judgment of Tupã's Thunder is a MYTHENOR trap inspired by the roar of the sky: whoever attacks the forest hears the answer from above.
Why it has this power
A rare reflect trap. When the opponent attacks, all the damage you would take in that battle goes back to their breath. It is the rarer version of Water-Mirror of the Lagoon: the thunder returns the blow. Perfect against monsters with very high attack.

Among the Mbya, each cardinal direction has a divinity, and the west belongs to Tupã.
