The myth
Silver and gold neck rings and arm rings were prestige jewelry in the Viking Age: they turn up in buried hoards and were given by kings to their warriors, who therefore called their chiefs ring-givers. In the myths rings carry power, like Odin's Draupnir and the cursed Andvaranaut. The wolf, for its part, was Odin's animal and that of warriors like the úlfheðnar, and many Norse names contain úlfr, wolf. A wolf-fang torc is a MYTHENOR creation joining these symbols.
Why it has this power
A Common equipment that grants 500 ATK and DEF to a Beast or Beast-Warrior. Whoever wears the wolf's fangs inherits its hunger, the card says. It suits wolves like Geri, Freki and Garmr, and beast-men like the Úlfheðinn and Bǫðvarr Bjarki.
Did you know
Odin owned the ring Draupnir, from which eight equal rings dripped every ninth night.
