The myth
Bǫðvarr Bjarki is the greatest champion of King Hrólfr Kraki. In the Hrólfs saga kraka he is the son of Björn, a prince turned into a bear by his stepmother's curse. At the court of Hleiðr he kills a winged beast terrorizing the realm and turns the cowardly Hǫttr into the brave Hjalti. In the final battle against Queen Skuld's army, a gigantic bear fought at the front of Hrólfr's men while Bjarki sat motionless in the hall. When Hjalti woke him, the bear vanished, and the battle was lost. Some scholars compare him with the hero of Beowulf.
Why it has this power
A level 7 Rare, reached only by fusing the Bearhide Berserker with any Beast: man and bear in one body. ATK 2300 and DEF 2250 show a champion who strikes and endures alike. An Earth Beast-Warrior, under Sun and Fox. With the Bearded Axe or the Torc he reaches ATK 2800.
