The myth

Runes were the alphabet of the Germanic peoples, used in Scandinavia for over a thousand years. In the Viking Age many memorial runestones carry their text carved inside serpent- or dragon-shaped bands that coil across the stone. On the Ramsund carving in Sweden, the serpent body holding the runes is Fáfnir himself, pierced by Sigurd's sword. In the myths, the runes were won by Odin. A dragon whose hide bears living thunder runes is a MYTHENOR creation inspired by those stones.

Why it has this power

A level 6 Uncommon with ATK 2150 and DEF 1900, the strongest uncommon dragon of the fjord. Thunder element: every rune on its hide is a lightning bolt yet to fall. Wisp and Crown tie it to Thor's lightning. As a Dragon it can take up the sword Gram, which empowers warriors and dragons.
