The myth
A storm-powered samurai automaton is a MYTHENOR creation. It blends real symbols. Samurai armor, made of lacquered plates laced with colored cords, was a work of art and a family heirloom passed down the generations. Edo-period karakuri already imitated human gestures, like dolls that shot arrows or wrote characters. And at the end of the Edo period, Tanaka Hisashige moved from mechanical dolls to steam engines and the telegraph, paving the way for Japan's electrical industry. The card imagines a masterless suit of armor animated by that new energy.
Why it has this power
An Uncommon level-5 Thunder Machine with 1900 ATK and 1700 DEF: the archipelago's strongest machine without fusion. Wisp is the electric discharge; Hammer, warrior and workshop at once. Being a Machine rather than a Warrior, it cannot wield the Katana, but it fuses with the Tanuki for the kettle.

Tanaka Hisashige's Man-nen Dokei clock of 1851 shows old Japanese time, days, moon phases and zodiac signs, and is an Important Cultural Property of Japan.
