The myth

The Izumo stormcloud dragon is a MYTHENOR creation, but in myth Izumo is a land of clouds and serpents. There Susanoo defeated Yamata-no-Orochi and, building his house, sang of clouds rising in eight layers. By tradition, in the tenth lunar month the kami of the whole country gather at Izumo, which calls that time kamiarizuki, the month when the gods are present. In the welcoming rite, a sea serpent carried in by the waves is honored as Ryūja-sama, messenger of the dragon god who guides the kami to the shore.

Why it has this power

An Uncommon level-6 Thunder Dragon with 2200 ATK and 2000 DEF: a whole storm, balanced between attack and defense. Wisp is the lightning among the clouds, and Leviathan the sea serpents that visit Izumo. It is one of the strongest dragons that needs no fusion.

Did you know

While the rest of Japan called the tenth month kannazuki, "the month without gods", Izumo called it kamiarizuki, because they were all there.
