The myth
After seventy days in natron, the body was wrapped from head to foot in strips of linen, according to World History Encyclopedia. Herodotus also describes the process, in which the washed body was wound in bandages of fine linen. Budge recalls that the Egyptians did everything they could to protect the body from decay, swathing it in hundreds of yards of linen before sealing it in the coffin. The Embalmer's Bandages, in which every turn of linen is a prayer of protection, are the MYTHENOR equipment inspired by that care.
Why it has this power
Uncommon equipment: gives +700 ATK to an Undead or Machine monster. On the Nameless King Awakened, attack rises to 3550; on the Awakened Ushabti Legion, to 2900. It unites the two pillars of the Necropolis: the dead and their crafted servants.
Did you know
In the costliest mummification Herodotus describes, the belly was filled with pure ground myrrh and cassia before the wrapping.
