The myth

All of Egypt's life depended on the Nile's yearly flood, which laid fertile black soil along the arid banks. Egyptians saw it as a manifestation of Hapi, a fertility god tied to the river's silt and to the inundation. The return of the star Sopdet, Sirius, heralded the coming of the flood. According to World History Encyclopedia, Khnum was originally the god of the Nile's source and controlled its flow. This card's Flood Spirit is a MYTHENOR echo of that force that arrived every year.

Why it has this power

An uncommon level 5 Spirit of Water with 1600 ATK and 1600 DEF, balanced like the flood that brings and takes. Moon beats Wisp and Leviathan, the monster of the waters, beats Fox. It pairs with Tide that Returns the Past, the flood spell that sends cards back to the hand.
