The myth

For the Egyptians, the ka was each person's double: according to Budge, an individuality with all its owner's attributes and an independent existence, able to move from place to place and even converse with the gods. After death, the ka lived on and needed nourishment. The offerings of bread, beer, flowers and incense left in tombs were meant for it. In early times there were even ka chapels and ka priests charged with praying and making offerings on set dates.

Why it has this power

A common level 3 Spirit of Light with 900 ATK and 900 DEF: identical on both sides, like a double. Sun beats Moon and Fox beats Hammer. With the Ba it fuses into Akh, the Radiant Spirit, and it is a material of the Opening of the Mouth, the ritual that awakens the Nameless King.

Did you know

Budge relates that a ka without enough offerings was in serious danger of starving in the afterlife.
