The myth
Khnum, a ram-headed god, was called the Great Potter: he shaped human beings from Nile clay and held them up to Ra's light to give them life. On the island of Elephantine, at Egypt's southern border, he formed a triad with the goddesses Anuket and Satis. According to World History Encyclopedia, he was originally the god of the source of the Nile and controlled the river's flow. This card's ram warrior, guarding the source with lowered horns, is a MYTHENOR creation born from that role.
Why it has this power
A common level 4 Beast-Warrior of Earth, the earth of Khnum's clay, with 1100 ATK and 1300 DEF: a guardian before an attacker. Sun beats Moon and Fox beats Hammer. It is a material of the Riddle of the Sphinx, with the Sacred Cat and the Oracle of the Eternal Flame, the ritual that awakens the Lapis Lazuli Sphinx.
Did you know
In the New Kingdom some sphinxes had ram heads and represented the god Amun, which makes the ram a fitting material for the sphinx ritual.
